There are many more hikes and horseback riding trails right from the front door along the North Fork River and a mile hike to a small 8ft waterfall from the cabin up a beautiful side valley following Swift Creek, pine trees and Aspens. The famous North Fork River for fishing or tubbing, passes the house within walking distance and meets up with a bigger river, Duchesne River in Hanna for river fishing. We will let you know where our secret swim hole and zip line is on the North Fork River just a stretch of the legs by the cabin when you check in. Only street legal vehicles are allowed in this valley that has 3 camp grounds, Aspen, Castle Cliff Campground, Hades, and Iron Mine, but if you enjoy 4 wheeling, 100's of miles of trails in the High Uinta's, right off Wolf Creek Pass, are just a 10 minute trailer ride away. Street legal Razors are allowed to leave right from the property to 100's of miles of mountain trails. There is also a turn off in Hanna, just 10 minutes the other way, that takes you to 4 wheeler trails to the top of Castle Rock where you get a view of Hades Lake and our valley, or take the trails to Still Water Dam, all are located with in Ashley National Forest. Starvation Lake is a 45 minute drive from the cabin and is great for all boating activities. It also has a nice beach area and rentals of all sorts for fun on the lake. We enjoy Starvation, because its not as busy as other Utah lakes. Razors are allowed to drive in the valley if they are street legal, bring your 4 wheelers but if they aren't street legal, you'll have to trailer them a short distance to the many trails in the Uinta Mountains. Bring all of your toys because there is something to do with them all year round, bikes, horses, fishing poles, tubes, 4 wheelers, Razors, hiking shoes, snow shoes, cross country skiing, snowmobile right from the house plus many trails from Wolf Creek Pass, and boating! We spend time at the cabin in the summer and trailer our boat to Starvation Res (little Lake Powell). it is beautiful and less crowded than any other Utah lakes and only 46 miles from the cabin. The property itself is 3 acres, the house is 2900 sq ft, with an extra 1300 sq ft of outdoor decking living space with an outdoor fire place on the deck. The house overlooks Swift Creek (seasonal creek that runs year round based on mountain snow pack) that runs through the property and makes a beautiful waterfall sound. If swift Creek happens to be dry, you can hear the larger North Fork River from the house too. The cabin has a nice size fire pit with bench seating is just steps away from the front door. North Fork, where the cabin is nestled, is a beautiful valley with mountains that have beautiful rock formations and cliffs, Lightning Ridge, Castle Rock, and Stone Face to name a few. Also at the cabin is a wonderful master suite with an extra deep soaker tub. Master has its own walk out deck. Large loft and pool table, loft has its own walk out deck with amazing views of valley and river. 2 bedrooms on main floor with 1 bathroom. Open concept main living area and kitchen. This beautiful log cabin resides in Woodland, Utah at the base of the Uinta National Forest. 8 miles outside of Kamas. Nearby there are many ski and snowboarding resorts, lakes, rivers, hiking and some of the most spectacular mountains on earth. You can snowshoe, fish, canoe, paddle board and more! It is secluded, and away from the city. We have buffalo's as our neighbors! Kamas is the nearest town for gas and groceries, 15 minutes away. Try the famous Woodland Biscuit company for breakfast when you stay! Please follow directions when coming here, as sometimes cell phone service is sparce. The bed room is a large, open, gorgeous loft trimmed with juniper. Keep an eye out for the wildlife! There are big cats, bears, eagles and coyotes in the area. Be aware as the winter months come, that there can be a lot of snow here, so 4WD will be very helpful, if not required. My cat Sampson, who is a mild mannered indoor-outdoor cat also lives here! Rancho Sin Vacas is a beautiful, secluded, 12-acre property on the North Fork of the Duchesne River. Located at the base of the Ashley National Forest in Hanna, Utah. Hanna's population is about 100, luckily, my site is sandwhiched between Navajo Red Sandstone outcroppings. This no traffic light, one gas station town is 78 miles east of Salt Lake City. Has the charm of locals waving at on coming cars and a grocery store that sells milk and horseshoes by the pound. My Ranch house has an updated kitchen complete with a set of new appliances, dining room, a living room with a new leather queen bed sofa sleeper, a full bath, one large bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom cantilevered over the river with a queen bed (max occupancy of rented area is 6). The cantilevered room was originally built 40 years ago and is the only legal cantilevered structure over the Duchesne River. Windows are on all sides, with electric heat, not radiant. The front deck of the ranch house is 25 feet from the river and a large fire pit 15 feet from the river. A small campfire area and seating is on the river bank under the cantilevered bedroom...3 feet from the river. I own about 1/4 mile of river frontage, both sides...three to four fishing holes are present, where brown and rainbow trout reside. Guests can fish up and down the Duchesne River for miles, since the State of Utah Department of Resources purchased these rights in the 70's. So fish as long as you want and come back and hang out near the river... the mesmerizing sound of the river and the the bright stars at 6800 feet is spectacular way to unwind for the day. For over 20 years, Rancho Sin Vacas has served as a sandbox for raising my three daughters. It is time to share this gem. Come fish and play on my property on the Duchesne River. Since I am the very first legal Bed and Breakfast in Duchesne County, it is mandatory that I am present on site. Guests get the cantilevered bedroom exclusively, but not the entire ranch house. I have a studio upstairs, not over any of the rented area. But I might spend the night in my 800 square foot , ten tree treehouse aka...Tajmahut.. complete with Murphy bed and fireplace up river... or across the river in my 16 ft by 24 ft wall tent ...aka... The entertainment area includes a BBQ for grilling them up for a healthy meal, and the enclosed yard with a large playground allows the kids to run around without having to worry about them wandering down to the river or the road unattended. There are plenty of summer activities in the area, including dozens of hiking and biking trails, canoeing, kayaking, boating and water skiing at the nearby Jordanelle reservoir. Head the other way and you're on the scenic drive to to Mirror Lake, but don't forget to stop at the waterfall! There is no air conditioning in this unit as it is not necessary except for a few nights each year. The cabin is nestled in a sheltered canyon which is often 10 degrees or more cooler than the surrounding area and channels a cool breeze in the summer. We have found that there are only a handful of nights a year when it feels warm, and overhead and portable fans are available for these times. To keep the cabin cool on warm days, open windows just before sunset and close all windows around 10 am and keep them closed throughout the day.

We appreciate 30 days notice if possible. We don't allow pets, smoking or parties. We want to keep our home beautiful and sparkling clean. Close to ski resorts, lakes, fly fishing, and hiking. This place is beautiful in every season. So many things to see and do. So much for families to do, even stay here and enjoy the beauty. We have gas barbecue or a weber with briquettes out on the deck. Also a portable fireplace pit for marshmallows and hot dogs on the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped. We have spices, cooking oil, and cooking spray, drip coffee maker and filters. Master bedroom and master bath on entry-level. Queen bed and a loft with a queen bed in bedroom upstairs . Another loft with two single beds that can be made into a king bed. Sleeps 8 comfortably with lots of foam mats and sleeping bags with a level grassy spot for a tent ( not provided) on the up river side of the cabin. Every time someone comes up here they do not want to leave. They ask us if they can stay forever, we say no. We provide towels, bedding, paper products, dish, laundry, and bath soap. The internet is a little sketchy and slow at certain times, but will work, we're a little remote and in the mountains after all!???????????

This Cabin is Incredible. Located on the Weber River. It is a custom log cabin that sleeps 16 people. It has a large gathering area that seats 23. It's great for a family vacation or a corporate retreat or even a weekend getaway. It has a large fire pit and two outdoor gazebos. There is a patio with seating and a bbq grill. It's just under 3 miles up the canyon so it has year-round access. There are 3 televisions, wifi, and wireless service as well. This is a semi-private space is located in a home 20 min outside of Park City.  You will need a car to get yourself around but it will be well worth it! The semi-private space is situated on 3 acres and has a beautiful lawn and courtyard garden in the summer and depending on the time of year with fruits and vegetables available for picking.  In the winter there is a 6-person hot-tub that provides unparalleled views of the mountains.  There is very little light pollution so the stars shine bright in the midnight sky.
